About IU Ride

Making IU safer, one ride at a time

IU Ride is an IU-sponsored organization that is staffed entirely by IU students who are paid hourly. Thanks to funding from the Office of the Provost and minivans from the IU Fleet Services, we provide free safe rides to the IU community—preventing you from walking home alone at night. We want to help as many people as possible get safe rides home at the end of their day, whether you're leaving the bars or the library. That's why we're available almost 6 hours a night, 7 days a week working to get students, staff, and even faculty home safely.

We try to respond as quickly as we can to people with urgent needs, but we're not an emergency service. Our fleet is three minivans. See our hours of operation and our guidelines for using the service.
